What Next?

On-Campus Leadership - Share what you learned abroad with fellow UCI students
Develop your leadership skills, share international and global insights and knowledge with fellow UCI students while earning money, academic credit and/or developing professional skills. Apply for the following on-campus positions during spring or summer:

Global Connect Internship – Teach global issues to middle school and high school students in Orange County. Apply by April 5.
Student Support Services Peer Educator – Assist SSS students succeed and thrive, socially and academically. Apply by April 5.
Transfer Student Center Peer Educator – Assist the TSC office to provide a welcoming environment and assist transfer students with their transition to UCI. Apply by April 5.
International Studies Club Executive Board – The club is seeking innovative thinkers to fill executive board positions. For more information or for instructions on how to apply, email igscuci@gmail.com Apply by April 19.
UTeach – Share what you learned abroad by teaching your own seminar to fellow UCI students. Apply in Spring quarter.
International Peer Group Mentor - Assist new degree-seeking international students in making a smooth transition to life at UCI. Application information will be posted on the web site early in spring quarter.
Study Abroad Center Peer Advisor – Help UCI students study abroad. Share your wisdom, tips and experience. Details of the position are on the web. Application will be available in June.

Global Leadership Certificate Program (GLCP)
Discover what it means to be a leader in a global context. Get involved at UCI and abroad. Develop leadership skills and put them into action! Global Brigades at UCI – Service projects abroad summer 2013!
Global Brigades at UC Irvine is a group of passionate student and professional volunteers who work on sustainable development projects in Honduras, Panama and Ghana. Our mission is to provide long term solutions to problems instead of simply putting a band-aid over the issues. Live and work around the world!
Your adventure begins when you complete the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate Program with UC Irvine Extension. Our 10-week summer intensive program allows you to earn your certificate in a consolidated amount of time and gives you the quality training you need to teach with confidence. Valuable benefits include the opportunity for interaction with visiting international students, job referral assistance, and post-program staff support. Program starts June 21.

These awards recognize undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves through their excellence in research conducted while abroad on EAP.To be eligible you must complete a final paper on your research by the end of spring quarter 2013. More details at the link above.

English Conversation Program Facilitator - Enroll for Spring quarter now!
Mondays 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Meet students from around the world. English facilitators assist international students by improving their English conversation skills through one-on-one pairings, group activities, and more!
