EAP EXCHANGE PARTNERS PROGRAM

Information for Mentees

The Study Abroad Center's EAP Exchange Partners Program is offered to all EAP Reciprocity students who will be coming to study at UCI.

The program is designed to assist EAP Reciprocity students to adjust to life at UCI as quickly and smoothly as possible. Participating in the program will give you the chance to meet and become friends with a UCI student and to learn more about what to expect during your time here.

How does the program work?

• If you are interested in participating in the program, please complete and submit the Web Application Form by Monday, September 2nd, 2013.

• Prior to the start of the quarter, you will be matched with a UCI student based on the information you have provided on your application. You will be sent information about the student to whom you are matched with via e-mail.

• There will be a meeting/social event during Welcome Week. This is where you will have the chance to meet your Exchange Partner and can make arrangements to get together. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact your Exchange Partner to make alternative arrangements.

• You and your Exchange Partner will agree where, when and how often you want to meet and your level of involvement with one another. You are expected to meet twice per quarter. Generally, your Exchange Partner will share their insights and experiences at UCI, explain how things work on campus and be available to answer any questions you may have.
