On-Campus Housing for Graduate Students

OPTION 1: EAP may have some priority guaranteed housing spaces for the Verano Place and Palo Verde housing complexes. Please note that placement in a specific community is not guaranteed and only graduate students who will be at UCI for the full academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters) are eligible. Many of your questions can also be answered on the Graduate and Family Housing page.

If you wish to live in Verano Place or Palo Verde, you MUST notify CIE as soon as possible to be included in our priority spaces. If we cannot accommodate all students, spaces will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. If you are included in our priority spaces, you will not be subject to the long wait list specified on the Graduate Student Housing web site.

Please be aware that all students given an apartment in Verano Place or Palo Verde must accept the opening whenever it becomes available. Student Housing will try to arrange a move-in date for you as close to your arrival date at UCI as possible, however, you may have to agree to accept an assignment earlier or later than your arrival date in order to obtain an apartment. You will be assigned an apartment-mate by Student Housing and will be notified as soon as an assignment has been made for you, including your move-in date.

OPTION 2: Vista del Campo and Vista del Campo Norte are privately owned and managed apartment communities on the UC Irvine campus, offering furnished apartments to single students. They allow residents to sub-lease their room for one quarter maximum. The application process for this community is different from that which is described above. Housing is NOT guaranteed in this community. CIE provides EAP Reciprocity students with a biweekly list of students interested in subleasing.
