UCIs IOP Affiliates are study abroad providers (below) that have been recognized because they offer several program options which are not available through UC EAP and past UCI participants have been satisfied with their experiences.  Selected program highlights are listed at the links below.

AIFS - American Institute For Foreign Study

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• Minimum 2.5 GPA required for most programs.
• Australia, England and Ireland semester immersion programs
• Countries not offered by EAP: Argentina, Austria, Czech Republic, and multi-country options.
• All UCI applicants who meet the minimum criteria and apply by the deadline will be accepted.
• Scholarships:

API – Academic Programs International

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• Minimum 2.75 GPA required for many programs.
• Many Spanish language programs for all language levels.
• England and Ireland semester immersion programs.
• Countries not offered by EAP: Poland
• Scholarships:

• API scholarships.

IES - Institute for the International Education of Students

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• UCI accepts IES’s transcript. UCI participants are not required to pay for and obtain a University of Minnesota transcript.
• Australia, England and Ireland semester immersion programs.
• Programs for Drama and Music.
• Countries not offered by EAP: Argentina, Austria, Ecuador and multi-country options.
• Scholarships:

• UCI participants on semester and year programs receive an automatic $1,500 tuition grant from IES.
• IES scholarships.

ISA – International Studies Abroad

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• Minimum 2.5 GPA required for most programs.
• Many Spanish language programs for all language levels.
• England semester immersion programs.
• Countries not offered by EAP: Argentina, Dominican Republic, Peru, and multi-country options.
• Quarter-length programs available that match UCI’s calendar.
• UCI students receiving financial aid can make special fee payment arrangements with ISA.
• Scholarships:

• ISA scholarship.

Semester at Sea

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 is expected. However, any college student who is enrolled full-time and is in good standing is encouraged to apply.
• A unique opportunity to learn by experiencing a variety of cultures in one semester.
• Scholarships:

SUNY Brockport – State University of New York, Brockport Study Abroad Program

Selected Program Highlights and differences in comparison to EAP:

• Many Australia and United Kingdom semester immersion programs.
