APPLYING TO A PROGRAM

1. First, be sure that you have completed steps 1-3 on our Prospective Participants page.

2. Be aware of your Application Deadline, and allow yourself plenty of time to complete the application.

• EAP Deadlines
• UC Summer Abroad and IOP Deadlines - Vary by program. Check with individual program for details.

3. Then, complete the Study Abroad Center's Pre-Application form and follow the instructions for your program below:

• UCEAP: Bring your completed form to the front desk at the Study Abroad Center so you can receive access to the EAP Application.
• UC Summer Abroad: Do both of the below:
  - Bring your completed form to the front desk at the Study Abroad Center to receive your UC Summer Abroad Pre-Departure Requirements 1/2 sheet.
  - Apply directly to your sponsoring UC Summer Abroad program according to the programs instructions.
• IOP: Do both of the below:
  - Bring your completed form to the front desk at the Study Abroad Center to receive your IOP Pre-Departure Requirements 1/2 sheet. The IOP process will take 4-8 weeks to complete. 
  - Apply directly to your sponsoring IOP program according to the programs instructions.
