Requirements
The Global Leadership Certificate Program (GLCP) consists of six components. Click on each tab for more details.
Note: There are no prerequisites for the GLCP. 1. At this 90-minute meeting you will learn about the goals and expectations of the program. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on your participation in the program and initiate an on-going self-reflection process that is central to the program.

3. Bring out the leader in you by attending these four Passport to Leadership workshops on campus:
Reflection: After each workshop, critically reflect on what you learned through the workshop and how you envision using these skills in future leadership positions. Check here for guidelines. 4. Learn about another culture from the inside. A full semester of study abroad is recommended. International students fulfill this requirement by studying here at UCI.

This is the culmination of the program.
There are three options to choose from (click on each for more details): Take a quick look at the three options with this comparison chart. All capstones must follow specific guidelines. Read thoroughly. Once you have chosen a capstone project you MUST find a mentor and complete the Capstone Proposal Form[PDF]. 6. Global Leadership Seminar. The next Global Leadership Seminar will be offered Winter Quarter 2010, but there is limited space! To sign up, email glcp@uci.edu for an authorization code.
Any substitutions must be approved by the Program Advisor. Requirements 2, 3, and 4 require critical reflection. This reflection is vital aspect of the program. It provides you with an opportunity to stop and examine your experiences and why they matter. Through critical reflection you will learn how to articulate what it is that you have learned and how to share those ideas with others.
