EAP Planning for Political Science Majors

Why study Political Science abroad?

"Students majoring in Political Science can benefit a great deal from going abroad to study for a year or even for a quarter. They will be amazed to learn how differently governments operate in other countries, how citizens elsewhere view their political leaders, and the ways in which young people can make their opinions on politics felt in other places. Not only will students who go abroad to study come back home with a much deeper knowledge of how various governments work, they will be prepared to go on to exciting, internationally-relevant careers or to graduate school with far more interesting resumes than they could have if they stayed at home."

-Dorothy J. Solinger
Professor of Political Science
