Strategies for Language Majors

The Foreign Language major requirements best suited to take abroad are:

- second year level language courses through 2C - higher level language and/or upper division courses

Note: These are only a few strategies that demonstrate how a student can study abroad and graduate within 4 years. There are many EAP programs that can be substituted into the same strategies. DO NOT LET THESE EXAMPLES LIMIT YOU. Please consult the EAP Program Wizard for more options.
Strategy I	Semester abroad taking 2nd year level language courses.
Strategy II	Year abroad taking higher level language + upper division
Strategy III	Year abroad taking higher level language + upper division

Resident Requirement for Major - At least 5 upper-division courses required for the major must be completed successfully at UCI.
