Anthropology Majors Study Abroad

Why study Anthropology abroad?

"Experiencing other cultures is the anthropologists stock in trade. All of us learn through experience but nothing lets us learn so much as learning how others live. The EAP experience is not only a great way for an aspiring anthropologist to begin to understand how other cultures work, it is an experience of immense value for any student. Once you have had the experience of living and learning abroad, your view of the world can never be the same. At the same time your own view of yourself and your own potential begins to feel unlimited."

-Robert Garfias
Professor of Anthropology

Making EAP Fit

EAP offers excellent opportunities to study anthropology at many universities abroad and courses taken for departmental requirement C, D, and E would be excellent choices to take. Study abroad also can provide opportunities for cross-cultural experience, field research, and foreign language training.
